I was originally a very ordinary person among the crowd, without any lofty ideals or pursuits at first. But I am a very lucky person because in my career, I have met many friendly, kind, and valuable clients. It was their help and support that completely changed my thoughts and also my life.
In 2012, we established our first branch overseas. After the company was just built, our first client, Ricoh, came to inspect the factory. I remember our chairman half jokingly saying, 'If the factory inspection doesn't pass, I'll have to commit suicide.' This sentence still echoes in my ears today.
At that time the internet condition in Thailand was very bad. Every time I received email from a customer, I would get an anxious call from the chairman before I had time to read it. He asked me to reply to the customer's email immediately. After that, whenever a customer's email arrived, the chairman would call me as if he had installed a signal receiver to remind me to reply immediately, and every email must be copied to him. On weekdays, he was very busy and it was very difficult for employees to see him, but regarding this matter, he personally kept a close eye on it. I was also under great pressure and felt like I was on the battlefield every day.
In the second month, the customer transferred 4 parts from their internal factory to us for production. People in the mold industry know that trial production is required after mold transfer, and each trial production requires professional molding technicians to adjust the molding conditions. The production workshop had no air conditioning and was extremely hot at that time. The temperature was nearly 40 degrees, and the working environment was very tough.
However, Mr. Ito, the customer's technician, disregarded the heat with nocomplaint and spent three full weeks in our production workshop. He tirelessly assisted us in mold testing, adjusting molding conditions, and carefully testing the product together until it was successfully mass-produced. It was his selfless help that gradually put us on the right track. After that, customer gradually transferred 38 parts to us, and the company began to receive orders for new models, thus gradually getting on the right track. With the efforts of the team and the support of customers, the company continued to grow and develop, and three years later we established the second factory.
After I came back, I started working on massager product-related businesses, mainly responsible for connecting with customers in Japan, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, South Korea and other regions.
But soon after I joined it, I encountered a difficult problem. After a 20GP container containing a hand massager arrived at the customer's place, it was found that the adapter specifications did not match the customer's requirements. In desperation, we could only urgently contact the supplier to remake the adapter and quickly send it to the customer. This mistake not only caused the customer's delivery delay and brought great trouble, but also had a great impact on the end customer. However, the customer not only helped to rework and replace the adapter for free in Japan, where labor costs are extremely high, but also only asked us to be responsible for half of the adapter cost, and the rest of the cost was dealt with by themselves.
It seems that fate always enjoys testing us. After a 40HQ container of sitting massage chairs arrived in Japan, serious problems occurred again - the customer found that the leather covers were all wrinkled. Since the goods had already arrived in Japan, the customer once again found someone to rework the goods. This time the problem was almost entirely caused by our company, but the customer did not force to charge us any fees.
In order to live up to the trust of my customers, I always remind myself to take my work seriously and carefully. In order to send out samples as soon as possible, I often work overtime until late at night, staying at the sample production site, and even skip meals to ensure that the samples are completed on time,and waited until they are successfully sent out. Whether it is working days or overtime work on weekends, as long as the production site is in production, I will be there personally, carefully checking every important component and production process, and carefully confirming the first piece of each product to ensure that there are no problems with the product. I have only one belief in my heart, that I will never let any problems with the products I followed up cause any trouble to the customers.
It is this unremitting effort, combined with the consistent support and cooperations of our customers, that has made our cooperation smoother and smoother, and there have been almost no major problems with our products since then. Customers have also seen my efforts and dedication, and often said to me: "Cathy san, I will work hard to increase your sales and give you more orders." This sentence is still deeply engraved in my mind and inspires me to keep moving forward.
After receiving help, many people express their gratitude by treating others to a meal on the house or giving them gifts. But for those clients who have given me great support and kindness, these ways are far from enough to show my gratitude. What they gave me was the power to change my life path and the warmth that helped me in the midst of adversity. This warmth has far surpassed simple business dealings or professional obligations. Simply giving something as feedback is far from being able to express my deep gratitude towards them, let alone giving them a deeper level of feedback.
After that, I have embarked on the road of entrepreneurship and taken over the business of the factory in my hometown. I want to be a better person, so that you who have shown me kindness and trust will be sincerely pleased with me. I want to be a more capable person and not causing any troubles to others in the cooperation; I want to make myself better and stronger, and be able to lend a helping hand when others need it, and give the greatest return for your trust and help, so that this warmth can be continued and kindness can spread to more corners.
